A Quick Visit to South Cumberland State Park On a recent trip to South Cumberland State Park in Monteagle, Tennessee, I only had a few hours—but it was more than enough to fall in love with the place. Even on a short visit, this park delivered incredible views, peaceful nature, and a deep appreciation for Tennessee’s outdoor spaces. A Quiet Stop at Hines Pond Tucked away near the visitor center, Hines Pond is a peaceful spot that often gets overlooked—but I’m glad I took a few minutes to check it out.
